Figures used
- Brokerage fee schedule: As of 1 Jan 2026. Source: Owner's word, 2026-10-31 (commission 0.15%); other charges from published CDC, NCCPL, SECP and PSX tariffs as listed in a 2025 guide (about 0.0054%); a broker's own schedule can differ
How it is calculated
The fee on one side as a share of the trade value, f = commission x (1 + sales tax) + other charges.
Kept overnight: break-even = price x (1 + f) / (1 - f), because the fee is paid on the way in and again on the way out.
Bought and sold the same day: break-even = price x (1 + f).
It is rounded UP to the paisa, so the costs are always covered. The commission rate, the other charges, their date and their source are shown under "Figures used".
Assumptions
- The shares are kept overnight, so the fees are paid going in and going out.
- The schedule used has a commission of 0.15% of the value and other charges of 0.0054% of the value, and sales tax of 15% on the commission.
- Tax on the profit is not counted.
- A broker can charge differently from the schedule used here. Check your own broker's schedule.
