Growth rate each year (CAGR)
14.87%
- Total change
- 100%
How it is calculated
CAGR = (end value / start value)^(1 / years) - 1
Here years is the time in years and months together: 2 years and 6 months is 2.5 years.
A fall in value gives a negative rate.
The rate is worked out exactly and rounded to a hundredth of a percent. Total change = (end value - start value) / start value.
Assumptions
- The growth is shown as if it were the same every year. In real life it goes up and down.
- Only the start and end values count. What happened in between does not change the rate.
- No money was added or taken out during the period.
Results are worked out from the figures you enter and are only estimates. They are not advice.
