How it is calculated
Swing = high - low.
After a rise: retracement = high - ratio x swing. Extension = low + ratio x swing.
After a fall: retracement = low + ratio x swing. Extension = high - ratio x swing.
Each level is rounded to the paisa once.
Assumptions
- The ratios are 23.6, 38.2, 50, 61.8 and 78.6 percent for retracements and 127.2 and 161.8 percent for extensions.
- The swing is a rise, so retracements fall back from the high and extensions go beyond it.
- The levels describe a swing. They are not a forecast and do not say what to trade. A level below 0 is shown as 0.
